About the wine:  from 90% Sangioveto (the winery’s exclusive clone of Sangiovese) and 10% Canaiolo grapes.

The vineyards are at an average height of 409 meters height, south-east facing limestone soils. Low yields to obtain the maximum quality.

Bright ruby red color with purple highlights. Aromas of red cherries, tobacco, sunbaked earth.
On the palate, firm structure and refreshing acidity, red fruits, thyme, smoked, earth, oak hints.

A wine which with its typical characteristics strives to achieve maximum elegance, thanks to the harmony of the tannins, combined with the delicate complexity of aromas and the final note of sweetness, the wine is characterised by an excellent balance in the mouth

About the Winery - Castellare di Castellina Winery - Castellare is one of the leaders in the renaissance of the Chianti Classico wine, when it was founded in the 1970s by Paolo Panerai, in a decision to use only local Tuscan varieties, and yet incorporate modern techniques (such as the first use of barrique barrels) is internationally acknowledged the winery's high quality wines. Chianti is one of the most important and complex wine regions in Italy, and in the heart of Chianti is the important region of Chianti Classico, located between Florence and Siena.
