Domaine Les Perrières
Gamaret de Genève

g2 Gamaret de Genève Réserve 2015

This wine is made from the Gamaret grape variety. Gamaret is a swiss variety, originally a hybrid of Beaujolais’s Gamay and Reichensteiner, a white German variety. Gamaret shares many traits with its distant relative Pinot Noir.
A very limited Kosher production of only 2268 bottles made at Domaine les Perrières, one of the largest wineries in Switzerland with nearly 1 million bottles per year.

Deep purple in color. Intense yet soft aromas of blackcurrants, violet, vanilla, licorice black pepper and coffee. Medium to full-bodied. Medium acid, grainy tannin and body in perfect balance. On the palate, notes of dark fruits, graphite, a touch of wet earth, pepper and thyme with a delicate polished finish.

Food pairing: perfect with all meat of character.
Recommended tasting period: Drink now to 2025.

Able to look back on 225 years of wine-growing, the Domaine Les Perrières is now run by Bernard Rochaix, assisted by members of the younger generation, passionate and disciplined about their work and eager to carry on the wine-growing heritage. Together, they have mastered classic winemaking techniques coupled with the latest winemaking know-how with the collaboration of the talented oenologist, Sébastien Schwarz.
